Doodle-A-Day 83

Going a bit cartoony today, which is rare, but I enjoy it.  In fact I feel like I should do it more frequently.  I drew this guy while my friends and I were watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 (the movie was Santa Clause.  Hilarious.)  They named him, but I, unfortunately forgot his name.

ETA:  An extra doodle.  I was bored and liked this guy, so I colored him digitally.  (By the way, I have decided to call him Billy Biscuit.)

Doodle-A-Day 81

Today's doodle is my first ever successful watercolor.  (I've made several previous watercolor attempts, but this is the first one I'm willing to display publicly.)  It's not much, but it's a start.

Doodle-A-Day 80

Just a quick sketch tonight.  I think Dragonflies are one of the most beautiful insects.

Doodle-A-Day 78

The exclamation point is the life of the punctuation party.

(Yes, I realize this is a deeply stupid drawing.)

Doodle-A-Day 72-77

Well, for the first time I have hit the maximum and gone five days without doing a drawing.  In my defense, I was out of town for three of those days, and really tired for one of them.  So, to make up for it, I have six drawings here.  One for each day I missed and another for today.  I worked extra hard on these to make up for my lameness.

I saw The Decemberists in Missoula, which has inspired this first drawing of Mr. Colin Meloy.

I also managed to attend the midnight premiere of Captain America: The First Avenger, which I will no doubt write about soon.

Darth Vader, because he's awesome.

Mr. Brandon Connolly, because I missed his birthday.

An elephant.

And finally, a pachycephalosaurid: Stygimoloch.

Doodle-A-Day 69-71

I went on a drawing adventure today with a friend of mine.

This is a doodle of him, actually.  I did it pretty quickly and I'm not that happy with it, but oh well.

Second is this doodle of a tree that we liked.  We called it "The Tree You Could Walk Down."

And finally, here is a doodle of a person I saw at the mall.

Doodle-A-Day 66-67

Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 last night.  It was fantastic.  I feel like I want to see it again before I write anything more about it here.  This means that these two doodles are the last of the Potter-related drawings.

Snape and Harry having an angry staring contest.

And finally, Peeves the poltergeist, tormenting some poor Hogwarts students.

Doodle-A-Day 64-65

Just twenty-four hours away from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.  Here are two more Potter-related doodles.

First one is Firenze.

And the second is a doodle of Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

Doodle-A-Day 62

Continuing with my current Potter obsession, today's drawing is a thestral.

Doodle-A-Day 60-61

Seeing as Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be released in less than a week, I'm allowing myself to give into my Potter obsession.

Here's a doodle of Kreacher.

And Mad-Eye Moody.

Doodle-A-Day 58-59

A sharpie drawing of a snake-like dragon.

And Spidey, hanging out on a rooftop.  (He looks less bored than Batman did the other day.)

Doodle-A-Day 57

My friend recently had a dream in which he was required to draw a picture of Mr. Burns jumping over a fence.  I thought this was really funny, so that is today's doodle.

Doodle-A-Day 55-56

A sketch of the Caped Crusader, on one of the more boring Gotham nights.

Also, a very quick pastel drawing of the house from UP.

Doodle-A-Day 54

Today is my little brother's birthday.  He's 17!  The doodle today is of him.

Happy birthday, bro!

Doodle-A-Day 53

Just a quick one for July 1st tonight.  Will do one for July 2nd later today.  It's a Psittacosaurus.

DaD 52

Little imaginative one today.  (Late again.  But only by ten minutes.  Oh well.)  I don't really know where this idea came from, but I like it.
